Mother's Day Outfit and 28 Week Update

| Kimono: c/o PinkBlush Maternity | Dress: shopvictoriafarmsworth | Heels: Nordstrom |

This was my first Mother's Day as an almost Mother, it was such a special day for me! Matt made it such a special day for me. Over the weekend we went out to dinner (my choice, his least favorite choice and no complaints from him!) and I got my favorite dessert. Then for Mother's Day, he wrote me the sweetest card and bought me a gorgeous rose gold heart necklace. It was such a sweet present and I love wearing it everyday and being reminded of why I got it!

I'm 28 weeks today so I thought that it would be fun to do a little pregnancy questionnaire since I haven't done one!

How far along? 28 weeks, 1 day
Total weight gain/loss: About 18-19 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Oh yes!! I have a pair of maternity leggings that I wear everyday and some maternity shirts that I've bought and also a few that I borrowed from my sister-in-law. Part of the reason I haven't really been blogging is because I pretty much live in leggings!
Stretch marks? None so far and crossing my fingers!
Best moment this week: Officially entering my third trimester!!
Sleep: Usually pretty good, I go through phases of having to get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom but lately I've been sleeping through the night pretty well. Also, rolling over from one side to another is getting tough because I'm always nervous to squish my bump haha.
Movement: Usually 2-3 times a day. They used to be kicks but at my last doctors appointment my doctor said his head was at the bottom and I've noticed it's a different kind of movement. Since I have an anterior placenta (which just means that my placenta is at the front of my stomach) I feel most of my movement really low so his head moving just feels a little different! And lots of times it's on my bladder which is not too fun haha.
Food cravings: They vary from day to day but chocolate and lately Butterfingers!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing too crazy. During this pregnancy I have had an aversion to Chinese and Italian food so I'm still avoiding those!
Have you started to show yet: Uh, yeah most definitely! I feel like in the last month people have asked me if I'm pregnant. When I substitute teach the younger kids always ask me if I'm pregnant! Which is fun and funny since I think it's so obvious, but it's nice they're trying to be polite just in case I'm actually just fat haha.
Leakage: Eww...no.
Labor signs: No. Even though, I want to meet our little boy soon he still has a lot of growing to do!
Belly button in or out: In, but just barely! I think in the next month it might pop out, so crazy!!
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Happy or moody: Happy lately! I think my first trimester was my moodiest by far.

White Plum Giveaway

| Shirt: TJMaxx | Skirt: c/o White Plum | Heels: Missguided |

Ladies! I'm back on the blogosphere after a few weeks off and I have tons of amazing posts and outfits to share! Matt and I are heading home tomorrow after spending the last week and a half at my parents in SoCal. It was so fun to just relax and take a break from our busy schedules. We went to Wicked, went to the movies, went out to eat, and had a great Christmas and New Years. I'm so sad to leave and go back to freezing Utah but I can't avoid real life much longer.
Anyways, I'm so excited to share this outfit and skirt from White Plum! White Plum is a online boutique based out of Southern California so duh I already love it for that reason alone. They have cute, affordable clothing and lots of modest items. I love this sequin skirt I picked out and that it's more of a midi length! I planned on wearing this outfit for New Year's Eve but ya know we ended up staying in and my pajamas were a lot more comfortable :) White Plum has some really quality pieces including this A-line skirt and this cozy sweater I've been eyeing! They also are known for their amazing legging selection, definitely a must have for those cold winter nights in.
White Plum has been so generous and is offering all My Wardrobe Staples readers 25% off their entire purchase until January 9. Just use the code: STAPLES25 and you get 25%, how easy is that?? And if that's not enough, I've also teamed up with White Plum to give away a $50 Store Credit! Just enter the rafflecoptor below; the giveaway will last for a week and all the winner's entries will be verified. Good luck!!

bride wannabe

| Dress: c/o Ivy & Blu | Clutch: Etsy | Heels: Nordstrom |

I love the girly, feminine vibe of this outfit! A few months ago I really wanted some pink heels and these ones from Nordstrom definitely caught my eye. I had part of a giftcard left so it was a no brainer! I bought them and am in love with them, they are so girly and fun! I paired them with this gorgeous, white dress from Ivy and Blu and the combo of white, lace, and pink kind of makes me feel like a bride! This outfit would be perfect for a bridal shower or bachelorette party, too bad my bride days are over...#nostalgic.

rocker barbie + $225 PayPal cash giveaway

| Top: Forever 21 | Jeans: Aeropostale | Bag: Shi | Heels: DSW |
| Watch + Bangles: Gap | Chain Bracelet: Sage K & Co. | Sunnies: Amazon |

Guys, I totally feel like 80's rocker barbie right now. Hot pink lipstick. Gold bangles. A side ponytail. I mean...I can't really deny it. And guess what? I'm totally cool with it. It's pretty rad actually. The fun thing about starting a fashion blog is getting to dress up almost everyday. Life is short and I want to dress as fun and edgy as I want to while I'm still young. And for me, this outfit is pretty edgy.

Something that I've learned since starting a fashion blog is that it's okay to take risks. Before I began blogging I thought my outfits were in style but once I started doing fashion posts I felt like all of my outfits were boring and lackluster. And that's not to say that simple outfits are boring, in fact, they can actually be quite chic. What I mean is that I didn't go out of my comfort zone. I didn't wear accessories, I didn't wear bright lipstick, I didn't wear anything out of the norm. Blogging has really helped me to feel confident enough to make bold fashion choices and to try new trends. In fact, I couldn't really even try to pinpoint my style if you asked me to. I'm all over the place. I love all things trendy, preppy, girly, classy, and edgy. Fashion is so fun; I wouldn't want to label myself and stick to just one type of look. Now will I love this outfit in a year? Maybe, maybe not. But right now I like it and living in the now is all that matters.

Oh and did I mention this awesome giveaway?!
I am teaming up with 14 other beautiful bloggers to bring you a $225 PayPal Cash Giveaway! That is cash monayyy that you can win and then use it to buy whatever the heck you want! If it were me I would put it towards a little fall shopping spree (I mean duh). What would you buy if you won??
