I'm going to make this post short and sweet because it's very late and I'm typing this in the dark next to my sleeping husband. I wore this gorgeous leather dress for our One Year Anniversary date! My husband did all of the planning for our anniversary weekend and he did a fantastic job!! I'll be sharing more about our little getaway later on this week but we spent the night in Park City and it was so relaxing. Oh and isn't this leather dress to die for?! It's from an online boutique, Ivy & Blu Maggy Boutique, they have tons of high quality dresses so definitely make sure you stop and take a look if you need a dress for a special occasion.

One of my favorite things about having a style blog is taking some risks and wearing pieces that I might not normally wear. I used to think that harem pants were so unflattering and I pretty much hated them but after seeing them on tons of other bloggers they really grew on me. So, I decided to order some from Forever 21 and I am in love with them! I have tried on fitted, printed pants in the past and they just aren't flattering on my figure so I was nervous that looser ones would be ten times worse. I was so wrong and they actually look really cute (in my opinion!) Forever 21 is also the best place to pick up trendy pieces you might be unsure about. Also, you need to take a look at their website right now because they have some really cute stuff as made evident by the majority of my outfit being from there!

A few more things I'm in love with right now. This Maybelline plum lipstick from their ColorSensational line and this pave square link bracelet that I'm wearing in this post. I've also worn it here, here, and here. Obviously I'm obsessed. It matches almost every outfit that I'm wearing and it is the perfect bracelet to add to any arm party. Sequins. Polka dots. I honestly don't know which one I love more but when I saw this shirt I about died because it was so stinkin cute! I love J Crew Factory but some of their pieces are still expensive. However, I called and tracked down this shirt because not only was it on sale in store my friend Meghan sent me a gilt code which took an additional 40% off the total price. So overall I saved about $50, such a great deal! Oh and this 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target purse stealing all the attention in these pictures. Obsessed. Literally obsessed you guys. I love it!! I think it is a really good quality bag especially for the price. Plus you can fit so much into this purse, it would be a great bag for school or work. If for some reason you still haven't gotten one for yourself, you better get on it because these purses are hard to come by after all of the Limsanity.

Oh, and this is the first set of pictures not taken by my husband. My friend Lily took them for me and I took the pictures for her blog; they came out great right?! She was over at my house for a little blogger mingle party (read: gossip sesh, more on that later) that we threw and we thought it would be fun to take outfit pictures of each other. And it was so fun! I love that from blogging I have made some really great friends. Lily and I met through blogging a couple months ago and I already feel like I have made such a wonderful friend. We have started making some really fun plans together that I am really excited about! I have also made friends with other bloggers that live across the country who I talk to on Instagram and other forms of social media, and it is definitely one of the most positive things that has come from blogging!

Sometimes I just feel like dressing super girly...bright pink lipstick, sequins, pumps, a hot pink pencil skirt, I mean I don't think it gets more girly than that! I realized that I look like a huge J Crew snob in this post but let me explain. I bought this shirt from my friend for $40 and I bought this skirt from a shop on Instagram for $27 dollars!! Talk about a major score! So this outfit would have normally cost just over $200 but I only spent $67. I'm good, I know. I love the flowy, carefree look of this maxi dress and with the tie dye print it is the perfect boho chic look. I got this dress from Sugar Love Boutique; they have so many cute things you definitely need to check them out! I'm currently loving this necklace and this gold studded sweater from their boutique.

In other new, this weekend was great! (You can follow me on Instagram for more details!) Friday night my husband and I went to see Insidious 2 because it was Friday the 13th and it was so scary! Since we caught the latest movie we slept in until around 12 the next afternoon and then went for a late breakfast at a cute little waffle house. Then I went to work and made such good money that I bought not one, but two of the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target purses!! I am so excited to wear them for fall and I love adding neutral handbags to my growing collection because they can match anything and everything. I bought the tote with gusset in black and the medium satchel in taupe. You can expect to be seeing them on repeat ladies! The purses sold out so quickly, were you ladies able to pick one up??

I'm wearing some of my favorite fall trends in today's post: camo, leopard print, and jewels. There's not much too say about today's look except I'm really excited to start dressing for fall. I want to take more risks with my outfits and a bold, red lip with a little pattern mixing it the perfect way to start.

Hey ladies! I am back to blogging after a little break and I am so exciting to start sharing all of my fall outfits with you all! I think this is the first year that I can remember actually being excited for fall. Cool nights, Halloween, pumpkin everything, corn mazes, and the changing leaves are just a few of my favorite things. I love living in Utah because every season is so distinct, fall definitely feels like fall and I love all the gorgeous trees this time of year. And fall fashion. Don't even get me started on it. Plaid, burgundy, leather, booties, sweaters...heaven I tell you!
