The second I put this jacket on my husband was like oh what, you think you're bad now? You think you're so cool now, right? Uh yeah. That's exactly why I put this jacket on. Husbands. They just don't understand fashion. I have always wanted a moto jacket but never thought that I could pull it off. I love the rocker feel of the jacket but being the girly girl that I am, I had to wear my favorite neon pink shoes to add a pop of color. I also decided to wear my go-to gray tee [also seen here and here] so the outfit felt a little bit more casual. I'm excited to style this jacket come fall when I can wear it with a printed dress and some black leggings.

In other news, tomorrow morning my husband and I will be driving to Southern CA for an eight day vaca with my parents. I am so excited! I love visiting my family and haven't seen my parents since Christmas so needless to say I am a little homesick. Who knew you would be homesick after you got married right? But we always have fun spending time with my family and spending time alone doing fun California stuff. You better bet Disneyland and the beach are on our to-do list! Guys, I totally feel like 80's rocker barbie right now. Hot pink lipstick. Gold bangles. A side ponytail. I mean...I can't really deny it. And guess what? I'm totally cool with it. It's pretty rad actually. The fun thing about starting a fashion blog is getting to dress up almost everyday. Life is short and I want to dress as fun and edgy as I want to while I'm still young. And for me, this outfit is pretty edgy.

Something that I've learned since starting a fashion blog is that it's okay to take risks. Before I began blogging I thought my outfits were in style but once I started doing fashion posts I felt like all of my outfits were boring and lackluster. And that's not to say that simple outfits are boring, in fact, they can actually be quite chic. What I mean is that I didn't go out of my comfort zone. I didn't wear accessories, I didn't wear bright lipstick, I didn't wear anything out of the norm. Blogging has really helped me to feel confident enough to make bold fashion choices and to try new trends. In fact, I couldn't really even try to pinpoint my style if you asked me to. I'm all over the place. I love all things trendy, preppy, girly, classy, and edgy. Fashion is so fun; I wouldn't want to label myself and stick to just one type of look. Now will I love this outfit in a year? Maybe, maybe not. But right now I like it and living in the now is all that matters.
