After a much needed vacation and break from reality, I am back! My husband and I went to California for 9 glorious days and I already miss it so much! We visited my parents, took a day trip to Newport Beach, went to Disneyland with my husband's family, ate lots of yummy food, lounged at the beach, and basically had the best time ever. I can't wait to go back for Thanksgiving!

Now, onto this outfit! I wore this last night on a date night with my husband. I picked out this shirt from Diva NY which has a lot of edgy pieces, check it out if you're on the hunt for some prints or going out dresses. And these shoes! They are so comfortable and I am already obsessed with them. I want them in nude and red too, I'm not even joking I'm so obsessed! They are perfect for any outfit, I'm convinced everyone else needs a pair too.

It might just be me, but while going through these pictures some of them seemed sexier (yes I said sexier, I can say that now that I'm married) than usual. Almost scandalous. Maybe it's the hot pink lipstick. Maybe it's the studded heels. Or maybe it's the tousled hair, which was totally unintentional and the result of taking a long afternoon. Whatever the reason is, I'm totally okay with it.

Starting a fashion blog was really scary, I'll be the first to admit that. I've wanted to do it for years but I never felt confident enough to take the plunge. Photographing every inch of my body and taking close-ups of my face with a DSLR. No thanks, not interested. However, a couple of months ago I started working out again and lost 10 pounds. That little victory gave my the extra boost of confidence that I needed to start my blog. So I did; and I was so nervous. I was inexperienced and had no idea what I was doing. But, after practicing and getting more comfortable in front of the camera, I feel like I've definitely improved. I'm not gonna go try out for America's Next Top Model anytime soon but I definitely feel good about the pictures I take.

Another reason I was scared to start a blog is because I was scared of people leaving negative comments and critiquing me and my outfits. Luckily, none of that happened. Not even close! In fact, I have never even had someone leave a rude comment on my blog. In fact, I want to thank all you for your kind words! You ladies are seriously the best. Every comment that I read makes me smile and seriously makes my day! I even show some of your comments to my husband and I'm like, "Matt, this girl is so nice!! Look what she wrote. Isn't she the sweetest?!" We as readers and bloggers need to stick together and spread positive thoughts and comments to others on the internet, because if we don't have nice comments to make then we probably shouldn't make any comments at all :)

Let's talk about these little lovelies shall we??

These shoes are going to be my new favorites, I can already tell! If you're into fashion blogs you have probably seen them on lots of big name blogs (Ivory Lane, Cupcakes & Cashmere, Pink Peonies) which usually reads out of my price range. But sometimes other bloggers find knock off shoes that are exactly the same that are on sale for $30, and then tell you about it on Instagram! (thanks Emily and Laura!) Well this weekend I was shopping with my sister, Wendy and went into Torrid to see if they had them. I tried them on and it was pretty much fate. You know when you probably don't need another pair of shoes but then you try some on that make you feel like a million bucks and you have to buy them right then because if you don't you'll think about them every second of the day until you do? Just me? That's cool. But seriously, I love these shoes because they make me feel like a true fashionista, I mean how could hot pink, studded heels not?? Expect to see these babes on repeat this summer!

ps I loved these little pink and white flowers I was taking pictures in front of so I decided to snap a few pics, they are so pretty and dainty!

Enjoy your Monday!
