lazy girl's guide to style + a facelift

// shirt: TJ Maxx // jeans: Forever 21 // boots & watch: Target // necklace: JMR Boutique //

Here are a few easy steps if you're feeling lazy and don't want to get ready but still want to look cute:

1. Slip into some skinny jeans. A pair that is cute but still comfy. Make sure they are the stretchy kind.
2. Wear a baggy shirt. Something that you might wear as a pajama top.
3. Throw your hair in a bun and only curl the front strands so it looks like you still did your hair.
4. Put on some lip gloss. This makes it look like you did your makeup.

Voila! You have fooled everyone into thinking you spend lots of time getting ready when in reality it only took 10 minutes. This is seriously the story of my life...how little can I do to make it still look like I did something to get ready?? Do you ladies have any tips or tricks for getting ready in a jiffy? If so, please share!

By the way, have you noticed my amazing. new blog design?!
My husband is a computer whiz and since he is studying computer programming he knows how to do all sorts of cool cute things! Plus, he doesn't even charge me for his services, what a deal! We changed the logo to something cleaner and to 'My Wardrobe Staples' since is still said Katelin+Matt. We also added new pages so that you can contact me, sponsor me, and find each of my outfits. The sidebar is now separated by sections and has a little intro and picture at the top. Oh, and even though I love pink more than anything for some reason lavender was calling my blog's name and I went with lavender and black as my color palette. Anyways, thank you Matthew! You did such a great job! Thanks for putting up with your more than difficult client ;)

    1. Thanks so much, I'll have to tell my husband! Yes! I don't know why either but lipgloss is definitely the key!

  2. Love leather paneled pieces. There is a t-shirt I've seen on Piperlime with leather capped sleeves. Such a cool feature.

  8. I guess my lazy day dressing usually includes a maxi dress and hoop earrings! Hoop earrings add a nice touch to an otherwise "bleh" outfit!
Your outfit is really cute! Love the casual shirt!

I wish I knew someone who does computer programming...I can not for the life of me get my new blog button to work! I've successfully made buttons in the past, but for some reason everytime I try to put my button on my sidebar, the section for others to grab the code is never there! I finally gave up and just pasted it onto a "my buttons" page....*rolls eyes* sometimes I really hate HTML!!! Anyway, your new design is lovely!
