Merry Christmas...I'm only a few days late!
This year we had a wonderful Christmas! It was our second Christmas together and our first one in our own place. I have loved living together in our little apartment and sometimes I still feel like I'm playing house! To start things off we went and had a delicious dinner with his family on Christmas Eve. Around 9, we headed home so that we could hang out for a while. Matt had a present for me to open that night, it was pajamas and some Christmas movies! It was the cutest gift ever and after I opened it we changed into our jammies, made some hot chocolate, and watched Home Alone (which is my absolute favorite Christmas movie) by the tree. It was seriously perfect and I soaked up every second of it.
We only made it through about half of the movie since we were both super tired and decided to hit the sack. The next morning we woke up, opened presents, and then Matt made waffles that were so yummy. That man can cook! We finished watching Home Alone and ate our breakfast together. After that tiring morning (joking) we took a nap. Later that afternoon we went to see the Hobbit since I bought tickets and gave them to Matt as part of his Christmas present. That guy is obsessed with the Hobbit! The movie was packed and I was so glad I had bought our tickets the day before. We walked home since we live a few blocks away and then just hung out the rest of the night.
It was such a relaxing Christmas and I loved being able to spend so much time with my husband in our new apartment. With school, work, and the holiday season I feel like we haven't been getting very much alone time. I'm pretty selfish when it comes to my husband's time and I want him all to myself, which is exactly why this Christmas was perfect!! Hopefully your Christmas and holiday was wonderful!
