Camo pants is a trend that I was on the fence about until recently and I decided that I just had to snag a pair of my own. These ones from Aeropostale are so stretchy and comfy and I am definitely loving the distressed look. I paired it with a simple gray tee, my converses, and a swipe of lip gloss for a simple yet pulled together look. How do you like to style camo pants?

Whenever I'm not sure what to wear I immediately think of stripes and jeans. For some reason wearing a striped shirt with denim is the simplest way to look pulled together. It requires minimal effort (I'm all about that!) and it's another one of those comfy chic looks that I'm so fond of. On another note, this sweater from Aeropostale is something I picked up while shopping with my sister this past weekend. They were having a friends and family event so I majorly scored. I got a few other outerwear pieces that I'll be wearing on the blog soon (and in real life).

red, white, and blue part 3 + fourth of july recap

Here's my third and final Fourth of July outfit. I bought this shirt a couple months ago after falling love with it at Bohme so you could say I had my patriotic outfit planned well in advance! I paired it with an unbuttoned chambray, faded jeans, and converse for the rocker chic look. 

I hope you all had a great Fourth of July! I had to work for a couple hours but luckily I got off just before 8 and was able to rush home, shower, and still enjoy the festivities. I ate some hot dogs, watermelon, and potato salad, super yummy! We did some sparklers in the front yard with my family and then went to watch the bigger fireworks. The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays because everything about it is so summery. BBQs, fireworks, hot dogs, warm summer nights, and being carefree. I can't wait till the next year's celebration (already!)

ps While I was taking these pictures my niece ran out and wanted to be in all of my pictures, it was so funny!

She was especially good at photo bombing! Haha

date night chic

Another post with something from H&M that I could not pass up! And lucky for me this dress didn't even need a $15 tag it was only $12! So, I wore this outfit on a double date we went on with another couple from church. I was going for a casual feel that still looked put together (I didn't want to look like I was trying too hard!) We went out for ice cream, sat outside, and talked. Let me tell you, married double dating is just like regular dating! You're nervous before the date, you try to make small talk during the date, and at the end of the date you hope they ask you to hang out again (assuming it went well that is). It is seriously so funny, even Matt said that it felt like the dating game all over again.

Oh, and in case you're wondering our husbands exchanged numbers and we made some plans for next week. Looks like we're double dating pros already!
